Computational protein design (CPD) alone and combined with structural biology, biophysics and related areas has revolutionised the field of drug discovery, offering transformative solutions to challenges in designing proteins with novel functions, improving therapeutic outcomes, and accelerating the development of new drugs. This special collection aims to capture the latest innovations at the intersection of CPD, structural biology, biophysics, drug discovery, and other interdisciplinary fields highlighting their critical role in addressing global health challenges and pandemic like situations. This call for papers is open for Communications articles. If you would like to contribute to this themed collection, you can submit your article directly to the online submission system for Chemical Communications. Please quote Computational Protein Design in the “Themed issues” section of the submission form and add a “Note to the Editor” that this is from the open call. All manuscripts will undergo the normal initial assessment and peer review processes, if appropriate, in line with the journal’s high standards, managed by the journal editors. Accepted manuscripts will be added to the online collection as soon as they are published and they will be featured in a regular issue of the relevant journal. Please note that peer review or acceptance are not guaranteed. |
